The days are officially colder and the nights are getting darker. With the holidays just around the corner, you may be thinking of ways to make your home stand out this winter season, or maybe you are just looking to bring a pop of colour to your regular outdoor decor. Here are some great tips to add some warmth, coziness and colour to your home this winter.

1. Add a red door or red trim. This helps add a nice pop of colour.

2. Get a stand out mail box. Look for one that will get peoples attention, or possibly to match the colour of your freshly painted door.

3. Buy some shiny garden ornaments. Silver and gold balls add colour and shine to otherwise dreary trees and bushes.

4. Extra large house numbers that are easy to see in the dark, and are appealing to the eye.

5. Get some mini trees with clear lights for on the porch. It looks pretty and adds a cozy warm glow.

6. Keep the greenery and winter shrubs neatly trimmed.

7. Look into getting some lamp posts for an added "Wow" factor.

8. Lots of driveway Lighting. In the winter months you can never have enough lighting. It helps people see the house and also see any wintery obsticals they may have to pass over such as ice and snow.
